Executive Leadership to Subsidize Childcare Costs for Hourly Workers
VCH is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC) that provides primary care to the medically underserved, low-income members of our San Fernando Valley community. Our Centers in North Hollywood and North Hills have mobilized to ensure that patients with chronic conditions continue to receive the care they need and deserve.
- Medical Assistants, Receptionists, and Patient Services staff are non-exempt employees
- Clinicians rely on their Care Teams to prepare for patient visits, and provide continuity of care
- The closure of schools mandated by LAUSD as well as orders for child-care centers to close, placed a financial and emotional strain on VCH’s hourly wage earners.
- VCH’s executives developed a prorated reimbursement scale to alleviate the unexpected expense
