Student Health and Safety is Our Top Priority.

Valley Community Healthcare (VCH) continues to follow the state and LA County safety guidelines in managing patient access, maintaining personal distances, and mandating wearing masks inside the Student Health Center.
  • VCH provides in person visits and virtual telehealth care via telephone and video to enrolled students.
  • LAVC students have access to both medical and mental health services through your student health center fees paid each semester.
  • SHC services include primary care, sick visits, immunizations, family planning, health education and behavioral health services.
  • Eligibility and enrollment specialists are available to assist students requesting additional health insurance with other plans.

General Medicine

  • Primary Care: Minor injuries/illnesses
  • TB Screening
  • Breast Exams
  • Pap Smears
  • STI, HIV, Hep C Testing
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Blood Pressure Screening
  • Substance Abuse
  • Health/Nutrition Education
  • Behavioral Health: > 12 visits per semester
  • Crisis Intervention

Services Not Covered by the Student Health Fee

Any lab tests, screenings and immunizations not listed, may be available upon request.

INSURANCE COVERAGE

Health plan information, and eligibility, and enrollment services are available.

CHECK IN PROCEDURES

  • Only patients with scheduled appointments will be allowed access to your providers.
  • Patients must come with a mask or face covering.
  • All patients will have their temperature checked and asked about COVID19 symptoms.
  • Patients with no symptoms will get a “screened” sticker, and shown where to wait until their appointment.
  • Patients with symptoms will be directed to a COVDI9 testing site.
