Member Services & Enrollment
The Member Services Department staff at Valley Community Healthcare is uniquely qualified to serve diverse populations with a high degree of cultural sensitivity and linguistic competency.
They make every effort to ensure the enrollment and continuous healthcare coverage of the insured and uninsured children and families in our community.
After an initial screening, prospective clients schedule an appointment with an Eligibility and Enrollment Specialist, who assists them with completing and submitting application forms that determine their eligibility for health care programs such as Medi-Cal, My Health LA, and Covered CA. Based on their eligibility, the Enrollment Specialist provides the client with information on the services they will receive from their plan.
Once enrolled in a healthcare program, patients are assigned to a Case Manager who they can contact directly for assistance with any issues related to their healthcare program and service. To ensure that patients have continuous coverage and ready access to clinical services at their medical home, Member Services staff provide continuous support for pending or existing case issues, Medi-Cal Redeterminations, and Primary Care Physician changes.
