Valley Community Healthcare (VCH) is encouraged by the approval of Measure ER, a Los Angeles County ballot measure that will increase the county sales tax by 0.5% for five years to support local health departments and healthcare services. The measure was approved by voters on June 2, 2026, reflecting strong community support for preserving and strengthening the healthcare safety net that serves residents throughout Los Angeles County.
What Measure ER Means to LA County
This outcome is encouraging for community health centers like VCH, which provide essential healthcare services to thousands of individuals and families each year. While implementation details are still being finalized and the measure is not expected to take effect until January 1, 2027 at the earliest, Measure ER represents an important investment in healthcare access and the long-term health of our communities. As more information becomes available, VCH will continue to monitor developments and assess what the measure may mean for the organization and the patients it serves.
